Apprenticeships

At any stage in your career, apprenticeships are suitable for all

Apprenticeships may be for you

An Apprenticeship is a job, with hands-on experience, a salary and the chance to train while you work. There are hundreds of different apprenticeships available across a wide range of industries and organisations from level 2 to 7 taking between one and six years to complete.

As an Apprentice you will:

  • Receive a regular salary.
  • Spend at least 20% of your time spent in "off the job training", often at a college, university or with a training provider.
  • Be trained to be fully competent in your chosen occupation.
  • Be on a career path - with lots of future potential for you.

Have a look below at our vacancies and if you are interested click the title of the vacancy to apply, or alternatively complete our enquiry form to be added to the Talent Bank for any future vacancies.

If you are an apprentice who has been made redundant, you can access support via the Redundancy Support Services for Apprentices.

'Levelling-Up’ Agenda

The Combined Authority Apprenticeships programme supports the ‘Levelling-Up’ Agenda to increase skills and better employment opportunities for those 16+ in our region. This has become increasingly more important as employer needs have changed, especially as the labour market has been and will continue to be impacted by COVID-19, EU Transition and the evolution many job roles are experiencing due to technical advances.
